3D Printing

3D printing is a great way to create low-cost prototypes and proofs of concept. You build a design in CAD software, then load it into 3D printing software. The program then divides your model into thin “slices,” which the printer lays down one by one. It’s not ideal for making high-stress parts or for anything requiring extreme precision. But for many projects, it’s an ideal design method.
